noeticboy_2001 The sound and message of this album is what has always been playing in my soul, this darkness combined with depth and melancholy is one of the most beautiful things that has happened to me. We have a bit more gothic sound here than dream pop and that's what captivated me, a person familiar with metal genres, together with the heavy bass and more distorted guitars in the reverbs, and let's not forget about those drops that give you goosebumps. Favorite track: Darker Than Blue.

Marty Roberts So much to love about this album- the dreamy vocals and meandering beats being just a couple... I haven't felt such goose-pimples listening to new music in a long time 😎 Favorite track: Phantasm.
Dionysos Nyktelios
Dionysos Nyktelios thumbnail
Dionysos Nyktelios Following the steps of 'Encounters', the sophomore album from Life On Venus will put you in the same mood and delivers the same atmosphere as their debut. A good follow up, not very risky nor innovative; just a deeper exploration of their signature sound, with great tracks as 'For The Kill' and 'What Lies Beneath'.

If you have never heard about the band, this is an entry point as good as 'Encounters', delivering an ethereal shoegaze sound that soozes the soul. Favorite track: A Story Ends.

I'm here again I've come to see The flowers bloom Waving their leaves And turning buds Towards the moon Colder than winter's Heavy breath They make me swoon Follow the starshine path I'm sure I'll meet you soon It feels like I've lost control I feel so cold But this is how it goes I say that I love you so You always like to doubt it Darkness reveals As gardens stand In moonlight's loom Colorless fields Across the lands Of mist and gloom Further than winter's fading coast The shadows fall Searching for trails I've lost I hear your distant calls It feels like I've lost control I feel so cold But this is how it goes I say that I love you so You always like to doubt it

For the Kill 03:28
The darkness deepens As I flee into the night I'll give myself to winds And running traffic lights My body weakens As I race the morning sun I'll run away from everything And everyone Cause tonight I'll go for the kill To find what's real I promise I will I will fight To know what is right And if I still feel I promise I will As I surrender To the cold of morning mist I feel endangered But I don't think I'll resist I still remember Everything I've left behind I'll open up my hollow hands And let it die Cause tonight I'll go for the kill To find what's real I promise I will I will fight To know what is right And if I still feel I promise I will

Startide 03:15
I closed my eyes today And I got lost I'm miles and miles away On a moonlit coast I see an endless sky It's full of blinding lights The ocean looks alive As mighty waves arise I must be dreaming But the wind around is chill It feels so real I'm never coming back Cause I found home I'll stay in midnight's black And moonlight's chrome I see an endless sky It's full of blinding lights The ocean looks alive As mighty waves arise I must be dreaming Cause the world around is still I feel so real

A Story Ends 04:02
My fragile body falls Your outline seems so small I guess I did my time I'm fading out Exalted I depart With love within my heart There's something between the lines I care about My mind begins to fade I'm not afraid Of love within my veins A story ends, but we can start it all again The colours turn to gray The stars collapse As burdens fade away This story ends, you know There's not much left to say I step into the night And vanish out of sight I promise I won't fail I'm there by your side I'm free from any doubts That turned me inside out Silently I will sail Through pale tides My mind begins to fade I'm not afraid Of love within my veins A story ends, but we can start it all again The colours turn to gray The stars collapse As burdens fade away This story ends, you know There's not much left to say

I'm at the door but Nobody's in Chills running down my spine Somewhere behind this Cold silver screen I hope you're doing fine

Infinite walls of trees Oceans and enldess seas Universe Still keeps on flooding my dreams Infinite empathy It may be hard to see It's a curse But it's a blessing for me Can't you see The night is young and so are we I can't breathe My heart are full of love I can't set free We'll flee So far away where noone else can be Can't you see I've found my home at last Time's moving way too fast In reverse Slowly erasing the days We've found our home at last Time to forget our past And disperse Further and further away Can't you see The night is young and so are we I can't breathe My heart is full of love I can't set free We'll flee So far away where noone else can be Can't you see

Standing by I watched the dreams collide As the moon devoured the nearing sky Standing by I saw the worlds divide As the fading lights began to die Leave it all behind Put away your fears Ease your tired mind Last in our kind We will disappear With our souls entwined Follow my moves Don't make a sound We will escape and we'll never be found Darker than blue Darker than black We will escape and we'll never come back Darker than blue We're shining through Leave it all behind Put away your fears Ease your tired mind Last in our kind We will disappear With our souls entwined Follow my moves Don't make a sound We will escape and we'll never be found Darker than blue Darker than black We will escape and we'll never come back Darker than blue We're shining through

Silent we walk Through darkened fields Covered in smoke Midnight is still I'm left behind I clench my fists I want to know What lies beneath A fire burns inside us As long as we exist A million lights above us Will show what lies beneath I hear the time Screaming my name I've crossed the line I've lost the game Our pale shapes Move in the mist We can escape We will resist Nothing can stop Our beating hearts We are the sun We are the stars I'm left behind I clench my fists I want to know What lies beneath A fire burns inside us As long as we exist A million lights above us Will show what lies beneath

Phantasm 03:52
My dear friend What if I told the world will end Today Hold my hand It will destroy the things we love And hate It's a dream Everything goes as supposed to And the steam Is blurring its lines to expose you Here we stand Bodies no longer can contain Our minds In the end There will be nothing left for us To hide It's a dream Everything goes as supposed to And the steam Is blurring its lines to expose you
10.
Misery has pierced my heart And now it's painted blue It ignites but there is nothing left to burn Miles away, worlds apart It's calling out for you I'll be waiting at the point of no return
